Devon-Based Spanish guitarist Jules Moberly will be presenting a programme lasting approximately an hour which will be suitable for all the family. This will be followed by tea and cake and the opportunity to chat with Jules.

Jules Moberly plays Spanish guitar, incorporating elements of flamenco, folk, ambient minimalism, Latin-jazz and soul. He draws inspiration from time living in Andalusia, Spain and travelling – absorbing sonic influences from India, Africa and Central and South America as well as sounds closer to home and home itself. His performances are an attempt to create a deeper connection to the now through sound and feeling – environmental considerations are also at play – dependent on the time of day, the seasons, the weather, the location. Also, our intrinsic place within a natural context – our existence in relation to the land, the waters and the skies above us are ever-implicit in the sounds being created. He sometimes uses a loop pedal and other effects - building up rhythms and melodic layers in his pieces - which create a unique and dynamic approach to the solo guitar performance
