Eleanor Hodgkinson will work with advanced pianists (Grade 6 standard and above) in a piano workshop. Participants should bring a short piece to work on and perform. The focus will be on group activities to develop interpretation and performance skills, concluding with a short concert.

It is hoped that participants will stay on for a 6-7pm recital by Eleanor of music by Vaughan Williams, Doreen Carithen, Nino Rota and Copland, which will be followed by drinks.

There will be a maximum of 10 spaces. All ages welcome.

Pianist Eleanor Hodgkinson divides her time between performing, teaching and writing. A Principal Lecturer in Piano at Leeds Conservatoire and Head of Keyboard at the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music, Eleanor is also a trainer and examiner for the ABRSM and is frequently invited to adjudicate competitions and give classes at conservatoires and leading UK schools. She was previously a Tutor in Piano at Royal Holloway, University of London. Eleanor has devised many education projects and is the director of BabyGigs, a Midlands-based community interest charity which designs and presents concerts, community events and story shows for 0 to 7s and their families.
