Come and enjoy an informal afternoon making music with local musicians, teachers and advanced students (approx. Grade 5+) Barkham Ensemble’s Leonie Anderson will guide you through a variety of string orchestra repertoire, with breaks for tea, cake and the chance to make new friends.

About the event
Leonie Anderson will direct an afternoon of string ensemble playing. A professional viola player and pianist, she trained at RCM Junior Department, University of Bristol and at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where her viola teachers included Roger Chase and Jack Glickman. Further studies in orchestral conducting with George Hurst and Michael Rose have enabled her to direct many successful student ensembles as well as being a sought-after strings tutor across three continents, which she continues to enjoy alongside a varied performance portfolio.
